First day of spring

It seems like spring is finally here. All the plants in my yard are in full on growth mode except the ones that were killed by the frost. Unfortunately this applies equally to the weeds. Hopefully with finals out of the way I’ll be able to fix up the yard and get the house painted finally. I really need some housemates.
On the songwriting front, things with the band are progressing. We’re going to get our first couple of songs mixed and put up on the myspace page in hopes of getting a gig at Bay to Breakers. We’ve had our fair share of creative disputes lately, but everyone in the band can see how far we’ve come and we really want to play more shows. Right now I’m optimistic that we’ll be able to play some places away from home and maybe even do a California road trip.
School is a different story. It looks like I’ve been able to land a decent summer job, but it’s not likely to land me in a startup any time soon. I’ll be trading the Stanford reality distortion field for an even bigger one, if that can be believed.
Today the plan is to get through Julius’ Music 420 final exam and then head up to Blue Bear for a jam session. I am behind on learning the songs for this workshop, but still have a couple weeks to pull things together.
